Alley Baby is an award-winning, chef-driven food truck that started in an alley in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded by chef Alex Frohlich, Alley Baby was built on a simple belief: food should bring people together, create memories, and never rely on shortcuts.
Our menu is a reflection of that philosophy—elevated comfort food inspired by flavors from across America as well as lessons and influences gathered through travels overseas. Think Appalachia meets the Florida highway with a side of Midwest grit. From award-winning wings and our signature Coconut Chicken to scratch-made tacos, burgers, sides, and creative seasonal specials, every dish is built around quality ingredients and bold flavors.
We proudly prepare our food using 100% gluten-free beef tallow, European butter, olive oil, and zero seed oils. Nearly our entire menu is naturally gluten-free, with only a bun or tortilla substitution needed for select items. Every recipe is developed with the same care and attention that helped Alley Baby grow from a small alley operation into an award-winning food truck serving communities throughout Ohio.
Alley Baby has earned multiple honors at Taste of Cincinnati, including Best Appetizer (Wings), Best Entrée (Coconut Chicken Taco), and Best Bite/Side (Tater Bombs), along with 1st Place Best Food Truck at Chicken & Beer Fest Columbus. Our food has been featured at major festivals, corporate events, community celebrations, and private gatherings across the state.
Named after the childhood nickname Alex’s father gave him and inspired by his beloved rescue dog Hank, Alley Baby is more than a food truck—it’s a story of resilience, determination, and passion, built around a commitment to serving exceptional food with genuine hospitality.
